About Me & My Home

My name is Lisa and I love marshmallows - it's a problem. I work/live on marketing stuff. It’s a nice job and let’s me drool creativity on a regular basis. I live in St. John's, Newfoundland; the capital city of a cute island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. I have to explain a lot of the time where I come from as most people think it's somewhere near Greenland or Finland but nope, it's a Canadian province. Kudos if you already knew that! Anyway, it's a gorgeous place with lots of irish roots (and not just the red ones on my head). You should pop over for tea sometime. Really.

On March 30, 2011, my soon-to-be hubby and I bought our very first home. A 75-year-old Victorian style abode in a great area but in need of some love. By love, I mean a new kick-ass décor, punches of color and a full kitchen transformation. From inspiration to the install and everything in between, this blog is dedicated to getting there. Not sure where “there” is yet, but stick with me and we’ll find out together!

When I'm not busy jazzing up my casa, I keep myself occupied by planning my upcoming September 16th wedding, hanging with Annie (my new English Setter pup) and hunting down bargains of all kinds. Why yes, I have been known to buy one too many chocolate bars for the sake of saving a few bucks. My partner/future husband/best friend is a busy guy named Ian and he works in the television industry. He takes a lot of the photos you see on here. Including this one of my babe, Annie. Yeah, I'm one of those people who looks like my dog. Jealous?

Here's as visual of where I live....
And yes, it is actually that beautiful here!
